Health Today, established in 2007 being born to be a part of a great mission God has give Philip Perch. The health ministry has been of great interested and passion of Philip for the past 13 years. Today, Health Today has grown to support and being involved in this great mission of the health ministry. It all started in June 2001 when Philip Perch decided to work fulltime in the health ministry. He worked 4 years at the West Coast Wellness Centre in Vredenburg, where he underwent full training through Be Free that was held at the West Coast Wellness Centre. In 2005, he was given an opportunity to work at BODIcare Lifestyle Centre in Johannesburg. With his background and training in the health ministry, he wanted to start a self supporting health ministry. Philip says, “God has planted a seed in my heart to help people. I always wanted to do more … especially for people with health problems, and Health Today was born in 2007 as a dream and a burning desire to help people with natural remedies from the plants – the plants God gave us”. Our premier focused is family health education, providing educational programs and services which varies from free healthy cooking demonstrations, family health seminars and lifestyle counselling. We also offer hands on cooking classes which involves more intensive training. All our programs and services which we offer are based on the “NEW START” health education program from Uchee Pine Wellness Centre. In the beginning of 2008, we expand our business in product development. Developing new products, making our products affordable and of high quality. Everyone wants to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Making products available at affordable price, making it easy for everyone to achieve their goals and to enjoy a healthy lifestyle without the extra effort. Our mission is to fulfil the great commission God has given everyone in Matthew 28:19, 20 “ Go ye therefore , and teach all nations, baptizing then in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you...”
Sin has affected our whole human being physically, mentally and spiritually. We see in the Bible that Christ, the great Healer, healed the sick restoring there health and then gave them the bread life the Good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. And thought his health ministry He has brought restoration to many physically, mentally and spiritually, reassuring them of everlasting. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16, 17
