Dear Sweethearts Family,

It is with heavy hearts that we recently received the news of Mary Honeybun’s passing, a true trailblazer and the driving force behind Bread Tags for Wheelchairs. Mary’s daughter, Jane, shared a beautiful message:

"𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘔𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘺𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯. 𝘞𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. 𝘐𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴, ‘𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘺𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸.’”

Mary’s work and spirit inspired all of us. From humble beginnings, she created something that brought mobility, joy, and community to so many. She was both the heart and inspiration to the start of and our sister organisation Bread tags for Wheelchairs

Our founder, Leigh, shared these touching words about Mary:

Kindly note, the deadline to update your profile info has been extended to 𝟭𝟯 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝟱𝗽𝗺.

This has been done following a request from Athletics South Africa, to allow for the delivery of any outstanding ASA National Licenses to all provinces (and clubs).
