Boswellia serrata (Indian frankincense) is an effective natural anti-inflammatory that significantly reduces pain, reduces stiffness, and improves joint function in osteoarthritis (OA), particularly in the knee. It acts by inhibiting the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) pathway and preserving cartilage. Common dosages range from 100-300 mg twice daily.

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the benefits and harms of boswellia extracts (BEs), or formulations containing BEs for osteoarthritis.

Mori et al. proved that the ‘inert delivery truck’ was always the toxin. But they stopped short of asking the deeper question: What does this mean for the entire mRNA platform? For all the new gene therapies? The cancer vaccines being rolled out?
If you looks at these jabs using the SuPREX framework, the answer is clear. These are not vaccines and not just a carrier. They are supramolecular membrane perturbation systems. The RNA is just the cargo. The platform is the payload.
And if we don’t start regulating them as such, the ‘rare but severe’ events will keep piling up because we’re testing THE WRONG THING.

This study shows that mitochondrial vulnerability increases the risk of myocarditis after mRNA vaccination by promoting inflammatory cell death in cardiomyocytes, identifying a potential mechanism underlying rare but severe cardiac adverse events.

Lab studies have now figured out where: salicylate switches on your cells' built-in energy sensor, which shuts down a key cancer-driving gene and activates your body's own natural tumor defense system — none of which has anything to do with inflammation

Aspirin led to a significantly lower incidence of colorectal cancer recurrence than placebo among patients with PIK3CA hotspot mutations in exon 9 or 20 and appeared to have a similar benefit among those with other somatic alterations in PI3K pathway genes. (Funded by the Swedish Research Cou...

Kids now need email earlier than ever. School apps, games, and messaging tools all ask for an email address long before a child understands what privacy is or how their data may be misused.
Already, 43% of children under 18 have their own personal email address, according to a recent Proton survey. And for many people, that childhood inbox becomes the one they carry into adulthood — their first and most enduring digital marker.

Give your child a safer start online. Reserve a private, secure, no-ads address with Proton Mail that stays sealed until your child is ready.

"Melatonin is roughly 2.5 billion years old. It predates sleep. It predates nervous systems. It predates complex multicellular life altogether. Bacteria, plants, fungi, and virtually every animal species produce it. Its primordial function wasn’t to regulate circadian rhythm, it was to protect cells from oxidative damage, particularly the kind caused by solar radiation and reactive oxygen species."

Teenagers were up to five times more likely to develop myocarditis and pericarditis, and up to 10 times more likely to experience an anaphylactic reaction shortly after receiving an initial two-dose series of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, according to a new peer-reviewed study.

The Norwegian COVID-19 vaccination campaign of adolescents from April 2021 necessitated surveillance of potential adverse events following immunization (AEFI). In this nationwide study of 496,432 adolescents, AEFI incidence rate ratios (IRRs) after first- and second-dose SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination....

"What modern science has since confirmed — across hundreds of peer-reviewed studies, randomized controlled trials, and population analyses — is that the humble flaxseed contains a pharmacological arsenal that, if it were a patentable molecule synthesized in a Pfizer laboratory, would be heralded as a breakthrough of the century. Instead, it grows in fields. It costs less than two dollars a pound. And it is almost entirely absent from the standard oncology and cardiology protocols practiced in American hospitals today."

Abstract. Purpose: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a potent stimulator of angiogenesis, which is crucial in cancer progression. We have previously shown that estradiol (E2) increases VEGF in breast cancer. Phytoestrogens are potential compounds in breast cancer prevention and treatment....

"Creatine helps replenish brain energy during high cognitive demand.

It supports mitochondria, key to healthy aging and brain power.

New research links creatine to reduced brain inflammation.

It may enhance neuroplasticity and mental clarity via immune effects."

BACKGROUND Preclinical studies suggest that creatine monohydrate (CrM) improves cognition and Alzheimer's disease (AD) biomarkers. However, there is currently no clinical evidence demonstrating the ...

"For a hundred years, we’ve treated cancer as purely a genetic disease — random mutations that need to be poisoned, cut, or irradiated out of you. But the metabolic view says something different: defective energy metabolism is at the root of cancer. And if that’s true, then the metabolic environment matters. What you eat matters. When you eat matters"

Dietary interventions hold promise for cancer therapy but often require prolonged, poorly tolerated regimens. Furthermore, how transient nutrient deprivation affects the metabolic interplay between tumor and immune cells within the tumor microenvironment (TME) remains unknown. Here, we introduce a b...

Our Story

We open our doors on the 15 of May 2006,and since then delivered quality care family medicine. We proud ourself as being homely with friendly reception and up to date knowledge about medicine! We walk the extra mile with and for our patients.

My colleague in the mornings is Dr Lize Schnabel, who studied with me(same time) at University of Stellenbosch. She also has 25 years experience in multiple different fields in medicine like geriatric psychiatry, gynaecology and many more. She and her husband also spend a few years in Canada and England, but came back home when they started there family. For the previous few year she worked as the family physician at Discovery. It is a honour to have her in our team.

Then there is my very polite and hands on practice manager ,Riaan Smit, who will always try to help you in any way he can. From the 1st of February 2017,we got a new member in our team,Sandra Cupido. I know Sandy for more than 2 decades, and we worked together for 10 years in a surgery in the Cape Flats. Come visit us,and experience holistic medicine and hospitality like in the old days of visiting your house doctor!
