What is a D&C ⁉️

D&C basically means DILATION and CURETTAGE. D&C Procedure is a surgical procedure often performed after the first-trimester miscarriage.

DILATION refers to opening of the cervix and CURETTAGE refers to removing the contents of the uterus. CURETTAGE may be performed by scrapping the uterine wall with a curette instrument or suction curette.
