What is emotional lightness? It is what our clients often describe feeling after a release.

It is that sense of something being let go. Maybe like the sense you get after having a good old cry, you somehow just feel better because you aren't locking everything inside any more.

Body Stress Releases helps you to release locked-in tension to restore wellbeing.

When someone is living in pain, the effects can radiate and it may start to affect friends and family.

We were therefore delighted to receive this message from a happy husband: "It is amazing to have my wife back. She was always youthful and athletic until the curse of the spasms hit her and degraded her quality of life to the point where she was wondering if she had a future that she could manage. Now, back is the lovely, sunny, smiling girl I married; so a very big thank you from me as well."

Thank you to practitioner Lee Ransom in Rye for sharing this message with us.

As Body Stress Release practitioners we come across this anomaly quite regularly in our practices scattered across the globe. The body is a phenomenally interesting and very interlinked machine that can display pain in certain areas completely unrelated to the source of the issue which could feel completely fine as the nerves have numbed in this area and the pain has been deferred to other areas caused by the compensation. BSR can help relieve the numbed nerves by releasing the built up body stress in that area and restoring functionality along the entire nerve pathway.

The effect of BSR is to improve the communication between the brain and the cells of the body, thereby assisting the body to restore normal function. Over the years we have observed how this is an ongoing process and thus the technique practices the following guidelines with regards to sessions:

Three Initial sessions are needed to experience the full benefit of BSR.

1) Intensive Phase – Essential / Required
Day 1, Day 4, (possibly Day 7) and Day 11
This is to address the immediate reason for attending BSR – Pain, discomfort, postural distortion, headaches, emotional stress etc.

2) Subsequent Phase - Recommended
Once every week or every second week (depending on individual case requirements)
This Phase is to continue unlocking stored tension / body stress at deeper levels as the body returns to an optimal state of well-being.

3) Maintenance Phase – Your commitment to your health and well-being
Once every 3 weeks, monthly or every 6 weeks
On-going health maintenance – Most people honour the principle of prevention when it comes to their car, ensuring that it is serviced on a regular basis. We would be wise to give our bodies the same consideration and attend regular sessions of BSR to assist the body in maintaining optimal health.

We love this quote from Audrey Hepburn – every action we take today has an impact on our future. Sometimes we can see an immediate change and other times, like planting a garden, take a while to come into fruition.

But, by taking the action, we show ourselves that we believe in tomorrow.

"Body Stress Release is a real game-changer. I had low-level back pain for as long as I can remember – it was not particularly debilitating, but I would spend at least one week a year 'holed-up' with sciatic, hip ,or back pain, relying on anti-inflammatory medication and hot water bottles to manage the pain. I thought it was something that I just had to live with. Each time it went away, my life would go back to normal until the next flare up.

I tried BSR because a friend became a practitioner. I did it to help them out. I had not even considered that it might help me. I found the sessions really relaxing and enjoyed them, and booked regular releases. Over time my body felt different. Low-level pain in my shoulder that was 'just there' had gone. And I have not had hip, sciatic, or back pain for several years.

I have been having BSR for about 10 years now and still continue to be amazed at how effective it is. Thank you!"

Are you familiar with the term chemical stress? It is caused by harmful toxins in the environment.

Think about how the smell of strong cleaning chemicals can make you tense your body. But it is not just what we smell. Some toxins are released into our bodies through what we consume. As with physical and emotional stress, our bodies process chemical stress differently.

For example, some have allergies to certain foods and cannot tolerate them, whilst others consume them without a second thought.

And if we place our body under too much chemical stress, the effects can build up and might be noticed as headaches or digestive issues.

Body Stress Release can unlock this stress to restore wellbeing.

Do you bend, sit, lift and exercise in ways that respect the natural structural design of your body? Doing any of these outside of the natural structural design of your body can cause serious damage to your body and also cause a build up of body Stress in the areas affected. Make sure to see a BSR consultant to relieve the built up body stress or consult with them on the correct ways to perform these movements
