Group 4 had an amazing outing today to the historic Castle of Good Hope.
Our learners enjoyed exploring one of South Africa’s oldest and most well-known landmarks while learning more about the rich history of Cape Town. Built between 1666 and 1679, the Castle of Good Hope was originally established by the Dutch East India Company and remains the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa.
The group loved walking through the castle grounds, viewing the historic architecture, and experiencing a hands-on history lesson outside of the classroom. Outings like these create meaningful learning opportunities while encouraging social interaction, curiosity, and fun experiences together.
A wonderful day filled with smiles, learning, and adventure! 🌟

Friends Day Centre hereby invites nominations for the following voluntary positions available on the Management Committee. The current Management Committee has indicated its willingness to continue serving for a further two-year term. In accordance with the Centre’s governance processes and constitution, nominations are invited for the following vacant portfolios:

• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Legal Representative / Legal Advisor

Parents, guardians, or suitably qualified individuals who wish to make themselves available for nomination, or who would like to nominate a suitable candidate for any of the above-mentioned positions, are kindly requested to complete the attached nomination form in full and return it together with all relevant supporting documentation no later than Friday, 29 May 2026.

Please note that all nominations will be subject to review and acceptance in accordance with the Centre’s constitutional and governance requirements.

Nominees are also required to sign acceptance of their nomination no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Annual General Meeting.
