👋 Meet Paula, our instructor who hails from the lovely town of Knysna and has always felt the power of movement!

💃 Her passion for dance blossomed into a love for all kinds of mindful movement.

🧘‍♀️ Today, she's a qualified yoga and Pilates instructor and a modern dance teacher – a triple threat of movement expertise!

🌍 Paula recently moved back to beautiful Cape Town after teaching in the Netherlands – welcome home!

✨ She believes movement should be FUN, intuitive, and pressure-free, a chance to explore and heal.

💪 Get ready for some "ninja" moves in her classes to help you discover your inner strength and leave feeling empowered!

🐾 Outside the studio, Paula enjoys nature walks with her dog, quality time with her husband Thomas, and their furry family: Zena (the sassy dog!), Dahlia, and Hades (the kitties!).

☕ Sunshine, coffee, and good books are some of her favourite simple joys.

👋 Meet Zoe (aka Zo!), who started her dance journey super young at just 6 years old!

🩰 From Port Elizabeth to East London, she excelled in Ballet, even achieving her RAD Advanced 2 with Distinction!

✨ Her Pilates journey began at the age of 12 to help manage lower back pain from scoliosis – talk about finding solutions early!

✈️ Zoe even had the amazing opportunity to travel to Scotland for the prestigious Genee Ballet Competition in 2013!

💪 Pilates became a lifelong commitment, leading her to get her BASI Pilates certification.

🎓 She then moved to Cape Town and earned her teaching diploma in Contemporary Dance from UCT!

🎭 Zoe danced professionally with Cape Town City Ballet, but her true passion lies in helping others through functional movement.

🐾 When she's not in the studio, Zoe is the General Manager at Ballet World, helping dancers find the perfect shoes and offering career advice!

🏡 Zoe's home is filled with love from her husband, Matthew, their cat Ollie, and their adorable Corgi puppy, Bilbo! 🥰

❤️ She's dedicated to teaching Pilates and continuously learning to provide the best practices for your body.

👋 Meet Debbie, our passionate instructor who's been hooked on dance, fitness, health, and well-being since she was 14!

🩰 Her dance journey started with a Ballet class in Pietermaritzburg, and she knew instantly it was her calling!

🏆 With the encouragement of her Ballet teacher, Brenda MacLachlan, Debbie dove into competitions, exams, and Eisteddfods.

🎓 She pursued her passion at UCT School of Dance, specializing in dance pedagogy and discovering her love for teaching.

👯‍♀️ While studying, Debbie started teaching adults and found a real joy in guiding others through movement.

✨ After a brief professional dance career with Cape Town City Ballet, she dedicated herself to teaching all ages.

🚀 In January 2015, Debbie's dream came to life with the start of her own studio, Just Move Studio, in Claremont!

💖 Having started her own dance journey later in life, she's especially passionate about helping others overcome similar challenges.

💪 She's not just a dance expert! Debbie is also a qualified Pilates and pre/post-natal fitness instructor.

😻 Outside the studio, Debbie shares her life with her supportive husband, Devin, and their adorable trio of cats: Lily, Chester, and Ping!

The Ballet class at Just Move Studio is a welcoming and inclusive space for dancers of all levels to explore the beauty and artistry of ballet. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner, this class offers a supportive environment where you can enjoy graceful movement and fluidity.

While the class is open to everyone, we recommend booking a private session or chatting with us beforehand if you're entirely new to ballet so we can offer guidance and ensure you feel confident in your first class. This is a chance to immerse yourself in the joy and fun of ballet, with no pressure - just pure enjoyment and personal growth at your own pace.

Thank you for embracing mindful movement with us in March, may we continue to incorporate this in our daily movement! 💚

Here's what to look forward to looking ahead into the new month:

💚 Our weekly classes continue as we focus on consistency. As Autumn arrives with cooler weather and shorter days, staying consistent can be fueled by our class schedule offerings and embracing the changes that this season brings. We are here to guide and support you on your journey, ask any of our instructors if you need assistance with being consistent.
