Define a lion

Other than it's mane, those whom it surrounds with will offer protection when it needs it,
A lion, other than it's strength it was bestowed the gift of providing for it's family and those that gives it protection,
A lion, a provider, although it's often protected by the pride, a lion is a hunter whom in battle puts it all on the line not for the sake of the meal but in order to provide for it's family and pride

How would you define a lion if not as fierce, vague, eager, outrageous and driven?
And what do you learn from what defines a lion?
Everybody sees the lion as a majestic beast which has dominant presence and isn't scared of anything but what they do not know is that the lion always cry in it's den while licking the wounds it sustained in battle

SPITTING FEATHERS. By Janet Sharrocks
I'm going to tell you baby
I'm going to take you home
To pastures green and maybe
You will never roam,

I'll charm you and I'll hold you
In all your times of need
Give all my love to you too
On which your heart can feed,

One day I met a lady
Who I will now describe
And just to be with her
I'm burning up inside,

Her hair is blonde on blonder
Her eyes are deepest green
I'm so happy that I found her
Now for her I'm rather keen,

I like the way she dresses
From her earrings to her shoes
I'll sing her every love song
And her I will amuse,

Her smile is warm and tender
That's what first caught my eye
The first time that I saw it
I heard my own heart sigh,

IF she was mine I'd hold her
We'd have kids by the score
And my love would be so tender
And would last forever more,

But dreaming is all that console's me
I dream of her day and night
That she is laying on a feather pillow
While I hold her so tight,

I crept into her bedroom
She was sound asleep in bed
I stood and watched her for awhile
Then I kissed her on her head,

Then I crawled in beside her
And touched her velvet skin
I thought she'd wake up and slap me
For the liberty I was taking,

Then I touched her sexy bum
Two peaches soft and round
I took a nibble very quietly
She never made a sound,

AHHH'''''' then I woke up to find
My pillow on the floor
Spitting feathers from my mouth
And I didn't even score,

So now I face reality
In the bright - light of sunburst
Next time I plan on dreaming
I'll remove my false teeth first

IF YOU WERE A BAR OF CHOCOLATE. Janet Sharrocks

If you were a bar of chocolate my love,
I'd take you to my bed,
Unwrap the silky paper off
And stare at you with glee
Now I have you all alone
To devour with my head,

I'd lick you from the top at first,
And have a nibble and a bite,
I'd make sure that you stayed soft
And just for me tonight,
WOO!! You said what was that?
As my finger I did dip
It was that running chocolate love,
That fell upon my zip,

Then I'd make my way to the bottom,
The part I like the most,
Just before I took a bite
I'd kiss that piece and toast,
Now you have started to melt my love,
So their is only one thing to do,

I'll spread you on my pillow now,
And lick you as I chew,
And then when your all gone,
I'll stop and ask again!!!
Where's my bar of chocolate love?
I want the same again.

SWEET BABY JAMES. (Written by Janet Sharrocks) 🇺🇸

The first time that I saw you,it was in the morgue,
Only three days old and taken away,
Active service made me miss your birthday,
Tears flowing as I stand by your body,
Heart torn , mind going mad,
Don't join the army if you want to be a dad.

Jet black hair, so silky and soft,
Little brown eyes, open aloft,
Skin blue with cold but still with a smile,
My sweet baby James can I stay for awhile?
Then as I hold you I think of the days,
Wanting to see you in so many ways,

I'll miss your first birthday,
And your first day at school,
No football for us just an empty stool,
I want to run with you and take you away,
But that's not my job
I heard the lord say,
So I kiss you farewell and lay you back down,
Curled-up in your cradle not making a sound,
You make me so sad,
And at the same time so proud,

Now Forty years later as I start to pen,
All of these feelings start flowing again,
But the hurt and the yearning from times in the past,
Bring joy to your memory
And comfort at last,
Sleep -tight my baby as I walk away,
Your now in heaven where angels do play.

A sad man's tune

Just because I woke up today doesn't mean am looking forward to tomorrow
And just because am not looking forward to tomorrow doesn't mean I don't want to reach tomorrow

I live for the sake of breathing but with every breath I take i die a little bit even if I hold in my breath I feel decapitated slightly

What do I have to live for?
My family that loves me?,
Or my dreams which seem too big to archive?

Through poetry I am still breathing, but what's the point of breathing when I am constantly faced with starvation?
I hide my pain with this smug on my face
And I hide the hunger I have by putting on emulsifying fat on my dry lips

"A hungry man is an angry man"
I am hungry but I am not angry but sad
Sad at how life is unfolding itself
I am so blue that even the blues feel blue for me

A sad man's tune
May I strike a chord that will turn my blues white and my life joyous
