Having been on the forefront of fighting substance abuse and addiction since 1970, Phoenix House’s reputation for helping active addicts and alcoholics achieve and maintain their sobriety is well known and documented. Previously a semi-funded non-profit organisation, Phoenix House as of January 2016 is now a privately owned centre and is under new management. Making use of our well-practiced and valuable experience and methods, and having included some new approaches and practices, we plan for Phoenix House to be the leading rehabilitation centre in the Johannesburg area. Our recently upgraded and refurbished in-patient facilities offer a pleasant, comfortable yet structured, disciplined and therapeutic environment in which the person learns to change all aspects oftheir life, not only leaving behind the substances but everything else related to this.
