MAZINDO MENTORSHIP MOMENT
Purpose > Pleasure

We’re all wired to pursue pleasure and avoid pain. But here’s the truth:

⚠️ Short-term pleasure often leads to long-term pain.
⚡ Short-term pain, embraced with purpose, leads to long-term fulfilment.

It’s painful to study when others are out partying.
It’s painful to wake up early, push hard, and stay consistent.
But the rewards? Purpose. Progress. Peace.

Pleasure and pain are instinctive. But purpose?
That’s intentional. And only those who choose it grow beyond survival.

You can’t build a life of greatness without discomfort.
Choose purpose. Embrace the process. Trust the outcome.

MAZINDO MENTORSHIP MOMENT ✨

From Scarcity to Abundance
By Lehlohonolo Mazindo

I grew up believing that life was something you had to fight for—not something that flowed freely.

In a crowded household, we competed for food, love, and space. Eating once a day taught me that survival is earned. I learned to hold back. To protect what I had. To think only of myself—because there wasn’t enough for everyone.

That belief followed me into adulthood.
I undercharged. Overworked. Settled.
Not because I lacked potential,
but because I believed I wasn’t meant for more.

Even in relationships, I chose what matched my past, not my future. I rejected opportunities that reflected my dreams—because my mindset couldn’t stretch beyond my memories.

Until I realised:
I was living by my imprint, not my blueprint.

I’d been loyal to a life that didn’t serve me.
So I started imagining a future where abundance was normal.

That shift changed everything.
I now charge what I’m worth.
I choose relationships that nourish, not drain.
I expect more—because I believe more.

Scarcity mindset makes you shrink your dreams.
Abundance mindset makes you expand your identity.

Let this be your moment to migrate.
Let go of lack.
Lean into overflow.

There is enough.
You are enough.
And your best life doesn’t need your fear—it needs your permission.

Most people don’t have a money problem—they have a mindset problem.

Until your mind upgrades, your bank account will remain where your beliefs have trapped it.

Money flows to clarity, confidence, and courage.
If you believe you’re not worthy of wealth, you’ll sabotage every opportunity for it.

If you fear abundance, you’ll find comfort in lack.
If you treat money like an enemy, it will avoid you like one.

Wealth is not just about numbers—it’s about narrative.

Change your money story, and you’ll change your financial future.

On Wednesday 30 July 2025, we’ll be hosting the next Mazindo Mentorship Masterclass:
“Holistic Money Magic: Steps to Money Ease, Confidence & Thriving.”

This is not a class about quick cash—it’s a breakthrough session on healing your money wounds, releasing your blocks, and aligning with financial ease.

Secure your seat. Rewrite your money story.

| Final Tribute of the Campaign to a Living Legend!

DR. DAVID MOLAPO — THE MENTOR WHO STRETCHED ME INTO MY DESTINY

When I met Dr. David Molapo, I was gifted but scattered—speaking everywhere to everyone for nothing more than a pen and applause. I lacked clarity, direction, and identity. But Dr. D saw what I didn’t: a voice for a generation.

He didn’t flatter me. He stretched me.

He gave me assignments I feared. Opened rooms I never imagined entering. Trusted me with his name, contacts, and reputation. Under his mentorship, I met CEOs, Ambassadors, and Prime Ministers. I wrote proposals that travelled further than I ever had. He didn’t just show me what I was good at—he showed me who I am.

I’ll never forget when he told me, “Maz, your bread is buttered in mindset, mental health, and psychosocial work. Focus there.” I thought he was narrowing me. In truth, he was aligning me.

Today, I stand as a respected therapist, author, and speaker—because one man believed in me more than I believed in myself. He helped me find my lane and run with purpose.

This is not just a tribute. It’s a declaration of gratitude to the man whose mentorship built my platform and reshaped my identity.

Thank you, Dr. D. You didn’t just mentor me. You activated me.

MAZINDO MENTORSHIP MOMENT ✨

Who’s Holding Your Ladder?

In the PERMA model of Positive Psychology, “R” stands for Relationships—and for good reason. Healthy relationships fuel your purpose. Toxic ones kill it.

I’ve had relationships that left me depressed, misaligned, and trapped in a cycle of people-pleasing. I kept trying to prove myself to people who were committed to misunderstanding me. I was loyal to those who never reciprocated—and it drained me.

Everything changed when I heard Les Brown ask, “Are you living together or dying together?” That question made me do a painful but freeing relationship audit.

I let go of those who only reached out when they needed something. I stopped chasing those who couldn’t celebrate me. I cut ties with takers who never gave back.

It was lonely at first—but also liberating. I no longer had to explain my heart to people who weren’t listening.

Today, I’m surrounded by fewer people—but they see me, hear me, believe in me. That shift changed everything.

Here’s what I’ve learned:
✅ The wrong people can delay your destiny.
✅ Healthy relationships aren’t optional—they’re oxygen.
✅ Peace is more powerful than performance.
✅ Not everyone deserves access to your becoming.

Audit your circle. Guard your energy. Let go of people who clip your wings—and lean into those who help you soar.

Because success doesn’t happen in isolation—but it should never happen in toxic association.

Ntate Letlhoo Gert Sekhuntla: The Quiet Father Who Taught Me Manhood

Today I honour a man who stepped into my life when I needed a father the most. Ntate Sekhuntla didn’t just teach me how to cook—he taught me how to become. He showed me that a man can serve his family, carry tenderness in his voice, and still lead with integrity.

Before I met him, I didn’t know what real manhood looked like. Like many boys, I was on the path of “being a man” through recklessness and emotional suppression. But Ntate Sekhuntla showed me you can be a man without losing your heart.

Though he had three children of his own, he treated me like his firstborn—trusting me, teaching me, guiding me. His advice was soft-spoken, but heavy with wisdom. Some lessons I only understood later, but now I carry them daily. He showed me that you don’t need to raise your voice to raise a standard.

He cooked without measuring, yet the food came out perfect. That taught me to lead with heart, not just strategy. He didn’t just teach me how to cook meals—he taught me how to cook a life full of purpose. He fathered me in the small moments that became lifelong truths.

He showed me that masculinity doesn’t need to be loud or violent. It needs to be rooted in integrity, service, and presence. I am the man I am because this man chose to believe in me.

Ntate Sekhuntla, you are a living legend. You led me quietly, but your impact echoes loudly. Thank you for showing me how to be a man without abandoning my heart.

MAZINDO MENTORSHIP MOMENT!!!

BECOME BEFORE YOU ACHIEVE!
(From my book: Think or Shrink)

Before I became a national voice in mental health, a therapist, author, and speaker—I had to become the man who could carry the weight of such a calling.

There was a time I chased success for its own sake. But achievement without alignment is exhausting. True success is not something you chase—it’s something you attract by who you become.

🔥 You must become before you achieve.
🔥 You must align before you accelerate.
🔥 You must heal before you build.

Many want the spotlight but haven’t built the inner stage. They want influence without integrity. But the truth is: if you skip becoming, your success won’t last.

Here’s what helped me:
• I trained my character, not just my skills
• I healed from within before helping others
• I embodied the identity my dream required

Now I live it—and I help others do the same.

This moment is drawn from my book Think or Shrink, in the bonus chapter: Don’t Just Achieve. Become.

Honouring a Mentor Who Conducted My Life Like Music

This Sunday on , I pay tribute to the late Mr. Madimabe Samuel Maditsane—my choir conductor, my father figure, my mentor.

He taught me more than music. He taught me leadership, discipline, presence, and passion. When I was hungry, he fed me. When I was sick, he took me to the doctor. When I needed guidance, he showed up for me and with me.

He called me “Lecturer” long before I knew I’d become one. He didn’t just identify my gift—he trained it, tested it, and trusted it. Whether it was in choir practice, Sunday service, or impromptu sermons, he was preparing me for a stage far beyond music.

He taught me to lead from the front, take responsibility when the team fails, and give my best even when no one’s watching—“because you never know who’s in the audience.” That lesson made me a regular voice on Motsweding FM and other platforms.

He left no room for excuses. “There’s no excuse in music,” he’d say. Today, I live by that principle. I show up. I deliver. I serve. I lead.

He didn’t just teach me how to sing in harmony—he taught me how to live in harmony.

Rest well, Ntate Maditsane. Your baton still conducts the rhythm of my leadership.

MAZINDO MENTORSHIP MOMENT
From Vision to Victory: Build the Habits Your Breakthrough Requires

There was a time I was busy but not becoming. I did everything for everyone—yet I moved nowhere slowly. I had passion but no direction. I was looking, but I didn’t know what I was looking for.

Then one day I read: “Success requires two things: absolute clarity about what you want, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get it.”

That woke me up.

Then came Dr. Phil. Watching him stirred something in me. I was still studying electrical engineering at the time—but I knew I had found my path. I dropped out—not because I failed, but because I found myself. My decision was unpopular, but it was clear. That clarity gave birth to habits. And those habits began changing everything.

I read. I prayed. I served. I spoke. I wrote. I healed. I studied. I mentored. Even when no one was clapping. I gave it my all.

Today, I’m not Dr. Phil—I’m Lehlohonolo Mazindo, living out my own God-given assignment. I built the habits my breakthrough required.

Here’s the truth:
✅ Vision is not enough—build the habits.
✅ Desire is not enough—develop the discipline.
✅ Potential is not enough—create the routine.

Victory doesn’t respond to wishful thinking—it responds to lifestyle.

Clarity gave me direction. Habits gave me momentum. Consistency gave me results.

And you can do the same.
