The Author, Hudā Ebrahim

Hudā Ebrahim was born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In 2001 she matriculated with distinction at Al-Falaah College. In 2002 she enrolled in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

In 2005 she completed her degree with cm laude and qualified as a speech-language pathologist. Thereafter, Hudā served a year of Community Service at Estcourt Hospital in northern KwaZulu-Natal after which she gained employment as a Junior Speech Therapist at the same hospital. From 2008-2013 Hudā was employed as a Senior Speech Therapist in various health sectors in Pietermaritzburg and Durban.

It was in 2014 that Hudā applied to be transferred to Golden Hours Special School, Durban North, where she is still currently employed as a Speech Therapist.
