Yvonne referred this lovely lady to the hospital with a heart rate of 38 beats per minute. They sent her on to a hospital in another town where a cardiologist gave her pacemaker. She is so happy and grateful to be feeling well again.

Thank you so much to Tom & Kris Lamb and their friends Roger & Janel Hidy who recently visited the Clinic. Tom and Roger did some much needed maintenance at the Peebles clinic site while Kris and Janel visited the Msholozi clinic site. They shared a health lesson with the women and handed out 90 reusable menstruation kits. Such an awesome gift to the women!

Thank you Reach Church, White River for your donation of “hospital care packs”. Now when very sick people are referred to hospital via ambulance, they can go with essential toiletries. Usually the people referred to hospital as emergency cases, don’t have toiletries with them.

Should you want to join in and help us touching lives by small acts of kindness one at a time, please follow the link to make a donation.

A few weeks ago this 85 year-old granny was brought to the clinic by her family. She had fallen and seemed to have sustained a head injury. She was unconscious and critically ill. We wanted to send her to hospital by ambulance but the family refused, they insisted they would care for her at home. We rehydrated her with IV fluids and explained how to do pressure part care. Then we all prayed together and the family took her home.

This week she walked into clinic with only the aid of a crutch. She was mentally clear and alert. She told us that Jesus had healed her. She said she went to heaven, saw her some of her relatives that had already passed on and spoke to Jesus. She described how beautiful heaven was but felt she had to return to family on earth.

When she came out of her coma she told her family they had to call the other family members and neighbours because she had to tell them that she had seen and spoken to Jesus, and that he had healed her.

Never underestimate the power of the prayers of the saints!

For the first of our 2025 ‘meet the team’ posts, we’d like to introduce Victoria Nyundu 👋

Hello! I’m Victoria and together with my husband Dumisani we have two beautiful children, Unathi and Lethokuhle.

I started working at the ASM Clinic in 2014, two years after completing my training as an Auxiliary Nurse at the ASM Nursing School.

My job varies day to day and as well as doing basic vital sign measurements, various rapid tests and dressing changes, I also assist the professional nurses by obtaining patient histories, giving injections, collecting specimens for laboratory tests and giving individual patient education on many different medical conditions.

It’s a real mixed bag, but I love working at the ASM Clinic and find it so rewarding to help people from across my community access good health care. I also enjoy being part of the ASM team as everyone is so passionate about treating people with respect, kindness and excellence.

Help us to continue our work by donating via our website: https://asmclinic.org.za/donate-2/

We know we’re now a few weeks into January, but we wanted to wish all of our followers and friends a happy new year and we pray that you all have a healthy, safe, prosperous and blessed 2025.

As always, your support means everything to us here at the ASM Clinic and we ask that you’d pray for the following faith goals for the year ahead:

· That God would continue to touch many lives for eternity, through the work of our ministry.

· That we’d find individuals and churches who support the clinic on a monthly basis through the link on our website.

· Abundant provision for the clinic’s 2025 operational costs.

· Continued and improved relationships with the district Department of Health.

· Another full-time professional nurse with the correct organizational fit to join the team.
