LONG STORY SHORT

In November 2019, the lifelong dream of Yolandi and Niel Coetzee, was finally born, when they opened Eye Contact Optometrist in the CityCentre in Nelspruit.

In December 1999, Niel Coetzee, graduated from the Rand Afrikaans University having qualified as an Optometrist and moved to Nelspruit to start his career in Optometry. But not before getting engaged to marry his long-term girlfriend and (still) love-of-his-life, Yolandi Coetzee.

Having started her career in optometry a few years earlier, in Johannesburg, Yolandi moved down to the Lowveld in April of 2000. After a short stint in Malelane and Komatipoort, she joined forces with Niel in the same practice in the heart of Nelspruit. Whilst gaining a wealth of experience during their years of employment, it has has always been a dream of theirs to set up their own practice, in the community they have grown to love.

In 2010, Niel left the Optometric industry to pursue different business interests, while Yolandi stayed on, serving the community in her own unique way. In 2019, however, 19 years of living, loving and three beautiful children later, the time was right and Eye Contact Optometrist has seen the light of day.
