Since opening our doors in March 2026, the Lowveld Eye Institute has been on a mission to bring super-specialised eye care closer to home — and this week was a powerful reflection of that commitment.

We were privileged to welcome Prof David Meyer, who collaborated with visiting specialist Dr Nolene du Plessis (plastic surgeon) to perform highly specialised eye cases at the LEI. These patients were carefully referred by our own LEI Ophthalmologists — a true team effort, built on trust, expertise, and a shared passion for exceptional patient care.

This is what collaborative medicine looks like. No unnecessary travel. No compromising on quality. Just world-class, super-specialised care — right here in the Lowveld.
