Hello to our amazing community! We've had many questions about our beautiful Tree of Remembrance , so we thought we would deliver all the information and answers in this post.

At Nelspruit Hospice, we understand that love never ends — and that remembering those we hold dear is a deeply personal and meaningful journey.
Our Tree of Remembrance on the Memory Wall offers families a beautiful way to honour and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
It is R250, and you can place a personalised plaque bearing your loved one’s name and appropriate dates, creating a lasting tribute in a peaceful and dignified setting.
We have intentionally kept the cost as minimal as possible, so that remembrance remains accessible to all.
Families are warmly invited to visit during the office hours — to enjoy a quiet drink, sit beneath the Tree of Remembrance in our tranquil garden, and gently relive precious memories in a space filled with care and compassion.
The Tree of Remembrance stands not only as a symbol of loss, but of love, legacy, and lives beautifully lived.

Nelspruit Hospice would like to welcome Dr Caroline Buckland (Palliative Care Practitioner) as an affiliate to the Hospice team. Dr Caroline is deeply committed to strengthening and advancing palliative care in our Nelspruit community.
Her role will include providing consultations with patients and families, as well as collaborating closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic, compassionate, and patient-centred care.
Dr Caroline is Lowveld local and after completing her medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand and working in Northern KZN she is permanently back in the Lowveld. For the last three years she has worked in the Emergency Department in Nelspruit, in this time also having completed her Diploma in Palliative Care through the University of Cape Town.
We look forward to the positive impact of her involvement and extend sincere welcome to her.
