The Nelspruit Hospice is a non-profit organisation which provides quality home-based palliative care to people with life-threatening illnesses. We have Professional Nurses, who are palliative care-trained and who provide physical, psycho-social and spiritual support regardless of race, disease, religion or socio-economic situation. Palliative Care as defined by the World Health Organisation is: An

approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing problems associated with life-threatening illnesses, through the prevention and relief of suffering, the early identification and impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, physical, psycho-social and spiritual. National Nonprofit Day on Sunday, August 17, is a perfect time to show appreciation for the impact nonprofits have on communities around the world.

Here are five things you can do to celebrate and show support:

🗓️ Commit to supporting your favorite nonprofits: Becoming a monthly donor can help ensure your nonprofits can provide their critical services consistently.
🤝 Volunteer your time: Nonprofits often rely on volunteers to carry out important tasks that support their mission. Consider offering your skills and expertise regularly!
