We asked Nicki about her favourite breeds, here are her top picks 🐾

1. Pugs: She has 3 of her own, so it's an obvious choice. They just want to love and be loved. Professional couch potatoes and proud of it.
2. Maine C**n: Long-haired, fluffy and a little clumsy. Basically a mini dog in a cat's body. What's not to love?
3. Boerboels: Grew up with one who was her best friend. Once they have your heart, they keep it.

Safe to say Nicki has a soft spot for loyal, lovable personalities What's your favourite breed? Let us know below.

We're giving away a FREE Dental Scale & Polish, and all you need to do is take a peek inside your pet's mouth. 👀🦷

Here's the challenge:
1. Comment your pets name
2. Do a lip lift on your pet, snap a photo or video of their teeth and gums, and share it to your story tagging us.
Let's see what's going on in there!

One lucky winner will walk away with a free dental scale & polish for their pet.

🦷 Why does it matter? Dental disease is one of the most common, and most overlooked, health issues in pets. Most owners don't realise there's a problem until it's already advanced.

SWIPE to see how to do a proper lip lift on your pet, it takes 5 seconds and could make a real difference. If you are unable to look in your pets mouth, give us a call & bring them in so we can help - free of charge!

Competition closes: 15 April 2026
Winner announced: 17 April 2026
*Ts & Cs apply:
- The competition is valid for a scale and polish for one dog or cat only
- Any additional treatments, including vaccinations, blood tests or dental extractions are not included.
- The prize must be redeemed by 30 September 2026 and is not transferable for cash.

Your dog doesn't know Easter eggs are off limits, and this weekend that matters more than you think.

🍫 Why is chocolate dangerous?
Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine, both of which dogs and cats cannot metabolise the way humans can. This causes it to build up in their system and become toxic.

⚠️ The darker the chocolate, the more dangerous
Dark chocolate and baking chocolate contain far higher levels of theobromine than milk chocolate, but no chocolate is safe for pets.

😟 Symptoms to watch for:
- Vomiting and diarrhea
- Restlessness and excessive thirst
- Tremors or seizures
- Rapid breathing or increased heart rate

⏱️ What to do if your pet eats chocolate:
Don't wait for symptoms to appear, contact your vet immediately. The sooner we can help, the better the outcome.

Even small amounts can cause a reaction depending on your pet's size and the type of chocolate, so rather be safe than sorry this weekend.
