📚 From “I’m not a reader” to building a collection

I’ll be honest, I was never a reader. I didn’t even read my set book in Grade 12. William Shakespeare, Othello i think (yet i still managed to pass with an exemption 😉).

Movies? Yes.
Books? Not so much. Reading felt like it took too much time, and I saw it as wasted effort.

Little did I know…

Over the years, I’ve slowly built up a small collection. Some of these books I’ve read cover to cover, others are still waiting their turn.

Alongside these are the textbooks from my BA in Psychology and Criminology, proof that I gravitate to the Non Fiction aisle.

But here’s what I’ve realised: if you’re a “read one book a year” kind of person like I was, my advice is simple, start early. Don’t wait until later in life to discover the power of reading. Books (and podcasts too!) hold a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and inspiration that can shift your thinking in ways nothing else can.

So now the big question is… looking at this stack, which book should I pick up next? 👇
