I know that it's tough to hear but illness doesn't just happen in isolation!

When we feel a discord in our life it's often our internal warning that this is creating an imbalance. Toxic food, toxic people and toxic situations all play a part in disease ☠️ Only when we truly understand that balance is found in what we eat, what we think, what we say and what we do will we place more emphasis on what we allow into our lives 🪷

Most salad dressings you buy are filled with sodium, vinegar, flavour enhances and preservatives - all inflammatory ingredients!

The below is such a tasty dressing - super easy to make 😊

*Tasty Vinaigrette*

Ingredients:

1 lemon, 3 dates (pitted), 1/4 cup water, 1/8 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional), 1 garlic clove (optional), 1/4 cup coriander (optional)

Directions:

Pop all ingredients into a blender and blend until creamy
Drizzle over your favorite salad

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator

It's said that our body never lies...

And it truly doesn't...

The body has very subtle ways of telling you when it's out of balance - and the tongue is a phenomenal guidebook 😌

"The tongue can be used as an accurate diagnostic tool to tell you about your health and identify treatments that will best suit your body’s needs. Tongue mapping, or lingua plana, refers to the way the tongue changes shape based on its position in the mouth and according to the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, every taste bud on your tongue corresponds with an organ in your body. The tongue can be sectioned into 5 parts: four along the center of the tongue and the two sides. The tip of your tongue has been connected to bitter organs such as the heart and lungs. The middle area is associated with the spleen and stomach. The sides have been linked with sweet organs such as the gallbladder and liver, while the back of your tongue is connected with sour organs such as the bladder and kidneys."

So do you have a healthy tongue?

Here's what the symptoms have to say -

Cracking and Dry:
- dehydration
- digestion / heart issue

Colour:

The *Law of Attraction* is often used when working with manifestation - it refers to like attracting Iike. It's how your external environment is a direct reflection of your internal environment. However this law is just one piece of a unique puzzle that involves 12 Laws which can be used as guiding tools as you navigate life! Let's look at them :-

1. *Law of Divine Oneness*
We are all connected. Everything we do impacts those around us...

2. *Law of Vibration*
As Tesla theorised - everything is frequency and energy. Similar vibrations attract each other.

3. *Law of Correspondence*
We live our lives according to subconscious patterns that we repeat every day. They can help or hinder us and are often passed down via our family ties.

4. *Law of Attraction*
It's a mirror of our mindset and will present itself as outcomes or decisions made. Change your mindset, change your life!

5. *Law of Inspired Action*
Taking action to get what you want. Buy the ticket, apply for the job etc...

6. *Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy*
The smallest act can have a profound effect. It's doing small things that uplift the soul - dancing, watching the sunset, meditating, keeping a journal etc...

Everything has contrast. Good vs Bad. Up vs Down. One cannot exist without the other. It's how we learn from mistakes and identify what we want and like.

11. *Law of Perpetual Motion* (Rhythm)
Everything is forever changing. Cycles are a natural way of the Universe. Highs and lows are all part of the experience.

12. *Law of Giving and Receiving* (Gender)
It's a flow, a balance. Masculine and Feminine. What is out of balance in life.

Blueberries are often labeled a 'superfood' as they are highly nutritious and incredibly beneficial! Blueberries help lower blood pressure, prevent heart disease, improve memory, aid in exercise recovery, are powerful antioxidants and a potent prebiotic!

The following recipe is part of my *21 Day Transform Challenge* - what other health / weight loss challenges contain such tasty delights 😋

*Wild Blueberry Latte*

Ingredients:

¾ cup water
½ cup unsweetened almond milk or unsweetened oat milk
½ cup thawed frozen or fresh wild blueberries
1-2 tbsps raw honey
½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
¼ tsp ground cardamom (optional)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour through a fine-mesh sieve into a small saucepan. You can skip the straining if you don’t mind the wild blueberry seeds.

Heat on low until warm.

Divide between two cups and serve.

If you’d like, as an optional additional step, you can also heat some extra milk and whisk the milk with a frother until foamy. Spoon on top of the lattes and sprinkle with cinnamon (if using). Serve.

*Tips:*
Nut and oat milks can have additives or fillers (sometimes even unlabeled), including oils, preservatives, citric acid, guar gum, carrageenan, and natural flavors. If possible, it’s best to make your own nut milk, coconut milk, or oat milk or to look for a brand without these additives.

Do you know the feeling of immense gratitude?

The one that is felt when a prayer has been answered?

Gratitude such as this fills the heart with love, covers the mind in peace and settles calm into the body - it's the emotion of feeling held, being taken care of and a deep knowing that everything will be ok 🫶🏻

Why do we wait until something occurs for us to feel this way? What if we acknowledged our blessings each day and felt this internal sense of relief at each moment 🪷

It's possible to harness this by simply sitting in presence each morning - journalling, prayer, meditation are all effective ways to do this 🌈

We all have moments and times when we feel overwhelmed.

Do you recognise these times?

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed?

Here are some suggestions that I find truly helpful when I'm stuck in the thick of things -

* Increase your vitamin B - double up on the dose while you navigate the busy period

* Ensure that you are taking the correct amount of Vitamin D - get yourself tested and bring in the right supplement

* Take a weekly Epsom Salt bath - soak for 20 minutes in a handful of salts

* Increase your magnesium - put magnesium balm on the souls of your feet before going to bed

* Get yourself onto Sceletium and Ashwaganda - a bottle of Calm Focus will help you increase your Serotonin levels, relax your mind and calm your adrenals down

* Meditate, Meditate, Meditate - bringing your mind to a quiet place once or twice a day is incredibly helpful to reduce internal stress

* Clean up your diet - eat clean, avoid fatty /sugary foods and drink plenty of water

And if the overwhelm gets too much - reach out to a friend, go for a lunch date or seek guidance from a professional 🌸

This is your life... It's the only one you have so make sure it's a great one!
