Tip Tuesday:

Avoid the dryer if you can! Heat is the enemy of color longevity. Air-drying your clothes (especially dyed or delicate pieces) helps maintain vibrancy and prevent shrinkage. Bonus: it's energy efficient!

Maintenance Monday:

Keep your colors poppin’! Add ½ cup of white vinegar during your rinse cycle to help set the dye and reduce color fading over time. It’s gentle, natural, and perfect for freshly dyed garments.

Did you know? Washing your clothes in cold water doesn’t just save energy—it’s also better for your fabric and your dye! Hot water can cause colors to bleed and fade faster, especially with custom-dyed garments. Cold water helps lock in vibrancy and protects delicate fibers.

Midweek Myth Buster Wednesday:

MYTH: “Dry cleaning is always the safest option.”
TRUTH: Not all garments benefit from dry cleaning—some delicate fabrics or dyed items can be damaged by the harsh chemicals. It's always best to check the fabric type and dye stability before heading to the cleaner. When unsure, reach out to a pro (hint: that’s me!).

Tip Tuesday:

Laundry tip: Always sort your laundry by color—especially with newly dyed items. Dark or bright pieces can bleed onto lighter fabrics if they’re washed together. When in doubt, wash your vibrant pieces separately for the first few cycles. Better safe than sorry!

Terms and Conditions (Must Read)

• Natural Fibres Only: Only natural fibres (except wool) can be dyed; man-made fibres like polyester won’t dye fully, leaving specks or uneven colour.

• Fabric and Pattern Issues: Mixed fabrics, patterns, or man-made stitching/embroidery may result in uneven dyeing or unchanged areas.

• Special Cases: Treated natural fibres (e.g., crease-resistant chinos) only dye black to black or navy to navy; jeans with artificial creases or heavy chemical treatments may dye unevenly.

• Dye Limitations: Only strong colours (Black, Navy, Bottle Green, Brown) cover flaws; black garments can only be dyed black; no colour matching, and white isn’t an option.

• Risks and Restrictions: High-temperature dyeing (60-85°C) may shrink fabrics or damage attachments; stains like paint or glue won’t be covered; chemically treated or sun-damaged fabrics may dye unevenly.
