Visceral fat refers to the fat in your abdomen that surrounds your internal organs like the liver, stomach, intestines and heart. Everyone has it and it helps to protect your internal organs but too much of it is dangerous.
When you have too much visceral fat, you’re at risk for health complications, which include cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, circulatory diseases and so much more.
Your environment and lifestyle influence how much visceral fat you have, but more than anything, it’s based on your genetics. Knowing your genetic predisposition to accumulate visceral fat will help you alter your lifestyle to prevent gaining too much of it.
That’s where I come in. My InBody scans can tell you precisely how much visceral fat you currently have and if that’s a problem. Then, we can do a genetic test to see how predisposed you are to this kind of fat and follow that up with personalised nutrition and fitness plans to keep your body as healthy as possible!
