We are NOT yoga, positive thinking or breathing gymnastics. Anyone can do Buteyko Normalization, because it is about restoring Normal Breathing! Normal breathing is adaptive, responsive and functional. It reduces stress reactivity and trigger reactions. It allows for calm and improves responsiveness. Whatsapp 072 267 7017

This was created from one of the pages in my Executive Dysfunction Workbook!

Laziness is an intentional unwillingness to work. If you find yourself struggling with something you WANT to do or wish you COULD do because it would eliminate shame/guilt/frustration but you just can't make yourself do it - that's not laziness. That resistance is a sign of something deeper. Instead of criticizing or shaming, we need to understand the "why".
For example - I used to leave dirty dishes piled up in my sink for months to the point that it was disgusting and I was disgusted with myself. Was I lazy? No. I was...
- Struggling with depression
- Overwhelmed with anxiety
- Didn't know where to start
- And felt so exhausted all of the time that some days it was hard to get out of bed
But I shamed myself by telling myself I was lazy so on top of that I felt like a failure and a bad person.
Everyone has moments when they feel unmotivated or less inclined to work. It's a natural part of being human but so many people also have executive dysfunction issues that have nothing to do with not wanting to do something and everything to do with not knowing how to overcome the internal thing that's stopping them. So, I encourage you to approach "laziness" with compassion and understanding (especially within yourself!)

Happy Pride month!
I'm a great example of why Pride is important.
Whenever I share photos of my amazing (and trans) husband Lucas - I lose followers. I don't share him (or LGBTQ+ content) a lot in general because it always means that I'm going to deal with crappy comments after. (Think about how sad that is.)
And I don't have the mental bandwidth for it.
I get people telling me I'm gross, that they're disappointed in me, that they don't follow me to 'see that type of thing', that they just can't condone my lifestyle, they'll pray for me, I'm harming my husband, I need help or he needs help, and on and on and on.

We're really just a boring couple who love each other a lot. There should be nothing controversial about that.
And that's why Pride matters because it's so much safer to hide and that's not how it should be.
