Die uitdaging in SA, is dit nie maklik om met meervoudige Sclerosis (MS) te leef nie.
Te veel mense wag al jare vir antwoorde. Simptome word maklik mis verstaan, verkeerd gediagnoseer.
En wanneer die diagnose vertel word aan die pasiënt, is dit 'n begin van nog 'n lang pad, een waar toegang tot behandeling en ondersteuning vir baie mense buite bereik bly, veral in die openbare gesondheidsstelsel of in ander dele van die land.
Daar is steeds groot leemtes in kennis oor MS, nie net onder gesonheidswerkers nie, maar in die breë stelsel.
Mense weet nie altyd waarheen om te gaan nie, wie om te vra nie, of hoe om vorentoe te beweeg nie.
Daarom het Heavenly Haven Care besluit om 'n veldtog van bewustmaking te loods. Almal is welkom om

NIEMAND behoort MS alleen of stil...stil te probeer hanteer nie. Beslis nie in limpopo streek nie, kom besoek ons en help ons om van hierdie projek 'n reuse sukses te maak.

MS in Seniors
Multiple Sclerosis Awarness
Is primarily diagnoses in early adulthood, but can happen at any time. Even though it may be considered a disease for younger people, a significant number of patients are over 65. As the prognosis for MS sufferers improves and the population ages, it's natural that we may see more elders MS patients. Some studies estimate that over 65 make 9% of the population living with MS.
Since MS has many of the same symptoms as aging, with muscle weakness being a primary concern, seniors with MS are at increased risk of many dangers faced by unaffected seniors.
Muscle weakness can be fatal, both to seniors and MS sufferers.
Heavenly Haven Care will trained caregivers in fall prevention and will be able to plan towards minimizing your loved one's risk of serious injury from falls.
How Homecare can help with MS.
If your loved one's has MS, it's very likely that he or she will eventually need home care. It may be you can provide some or all of this yourself, but bringing the patient to us to help, if only give you respite, should be something you consider.
The National MS Society reports that 85% of seniors with MS need some form of help at an average of 2,75 hours per day. As a professional home care for disabilities with well trained caregivers can we help the MS patients.
Heavenly Haven Care Day care is open to assist them.
Multiple Sclerosis is a condition that will last for the rest of your loved one's life. Learn as much as possible about the disease.

Med- Step
Neels Scholtz is ons eerste pasiënt vir intense versorging en is nou meer as 'n week hier.
Hy was baie swak, depressief, kon glad nie loop of self eet nie en sy suiker was hoog.
Nou na 'n week kan ons sy vordering sien.
Hy het begin opstaan en loop met hulp, hy eet self en is meer positief.
Sy suiker is normaal.

Alles te danke aan ons personeel wat hom met soveel liefde versorg.

Woensdag aand het ek Neels gesalf en vir hom gebid, dat hy moet opstaan en treetjie vir treetjie in Jesus se voetspore loop en volgende dag het hy begin loop. Amen.

Dankie Jesus dat U Neels se geneesheer is.
Ons is U ewig dankbaar vir Neels se vordering.

Dankie ook vir almal wat Neels besoek, hom opbeur, en vir hom Bid.

GRAPPER GEWYS.
Ons gaan haal voorraad vir die te huis en ons sê vir een van die inwoners Kobus, oom Louis het tannie Elizabeth Du Preez op trailer laat sit om die wêreld mooi te bekyk en sy wou nie haarself vas maak nie, omdat sy altyd in die kar haar veiligheidsgordel moet aansit.
Arme Kobus wou net weet is tannie oraait, het tannie nie koud gekry nie.
