We are pleased to announce that our Vice Chair, Dan Quin (also Executive Director/Chief Fire Officer Surrey Fire and Rescue Service) has been appointed Deputy Chair of the World Rescue Organisation.

Dan has dedicated a tremendous 18 years to the UKRO and everyone involved fully appreciates and acknowledges his expertise and professionalism.

On the 5th November 2024, the WRO General Committee, gathered at the 25th Annual General Meeting at the World Rescue Challenge 2024. Part of the agenda was to vote on some of the Executive Committee posts. As a result our Chair Paul Schroeder was re-elected as Chair of the WRO, a new post was created for Deputy Chair of the WRO with the successful nominee being Dan Quin, from UKRO who we welcome and look forward to working with, we also welcome Ray Martin from ROI who was successful in securing the post of Director of Operations. Declan Cassidy the previous Treasurer was elected to the post of WRO Secretary, creating a vacancy for Treasurer, which was filled by Joffrey Amorison FNSPF. The WRO sends congratulations to all who were successful in securing one of these vital roles within the WRO Executive team and we thank them and our member organisations for being part of the WRO.
