Friday we stood for, purple is more than a colour â it is a promise.
At Bardolino Care Centre, our staff and residents are wearing purple to stand against gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa. Behind every ribbon is a story, a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend â and a commitment that every person deserves safety, dignity, and a life free from fear.
In our home, respect is non-negotiable.
In our corridors, every voice matters.
In our community, care is active â we listen, we protect, and we stand up.
Today we honour survivors, remember those we have lost, and commit ourselves to being a place where trust, safety, and compassion are lived out daily, not spoken only in words.
