Welcome to Mako Swimming.

I am honored that you are considering Mako Swimming for your child.
I hope to transfer my more than 20 year’s love of swimming to your child.

I have been swimming since the age of 2 and obtained my 1st provincial colors in swimming at the age of 10. I have competed at a national level for the first time at age 13 and have competed Nationally in Underwater Hockey where our team won the nationals in 2014 and placed second in 2015.

In 2018 I started as a swimming instructor and obtained my “Learn to Swim Instructor Certificate” from Swimming South Africa.
In 2020 I wish to complete my Level 1 Coaching course which will enable me to enter my swimmers in Provincial and National events.

I am passionate about swimming, and love kids. Although training can start at a younger age, I prefer to commence with formal instruction at the age of around 2 years old. At this age it is easy to communicate and understand their fears and needs.
