I’ve been contemplating healing.
This is my current definition.

🦚 Healing is deep surrender to the body’s wisdom as true and just.

Recognising symptoms as signposts of the paths you have walked with your stories, habits and experiences.

This state is dynamic and can change when you choose a different path.

Healing has many faces and is not merely characterised by the remission of symptoms.

Healing is the emergence of creativity and the creative force as vitality returns.

Hold onto that which is eternal in you.

This is where the mystical, the mundane and the unexpected meet.

Know you are not defined by the confines of suffering, but regeneration and repair is your birthright.

Hello Dear Ones.

I wrote this after opening my emails recently. It’s time.

The Calling

It dawned on me today that I am still needed in this world.
I have a place in the order of things
The external reminder for requests to be on a waitlist was all it took.
I remembered that there’s something else I really love too.
My work. My calling.
I miss it.
The time has come to start plotting my way back.
Back to parts of myself on pause that now will look with new eyes.
A new heart.
A Mother’s heart.
Broken. Softened. Expanded.

How did we hand over our power to someone else that claim to know what our diagnosis is? What will be best for me? What I am capable of or not?

2024. The year that the mother in me gets to step up. It’s also the year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac- does that make me mother of Dragon? 🐉 I’ll take it. Wood dragon.

I’ve walked a long and intimate road with maiden. We’re close..like this 🤞🏽. I know her ways, her wants, her whispers. I know how wilful and stubborn she is. I know how selfish and on her own terms she is. I know how hard she finds it to not get her way. I also look forward to letting her step back.

It’s been a journey to get to this point, but since conception I’ve been amazed how my body has responded to this call of carrying life, growing vitality.

It’s time for mother to rise from her slumber. I’ve certainly mothered others, but now is the time to open to mothering my son. I feel deeply blessed and grateful to life calling itself forth from my womb 🙏🏽
