Tendinitis is inflammation or irritation of a tendon — the thick fibrous cords that at-tach muscle to bone. The condition causes pain and tenderness just outside a joint.
While tendinitis can occur in any of your tendons, it's most common around your shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and heels.

Some common names for various tendinitis problems are:
• Tennis elbow
• Golfer's elbow
• Pitcher's shoulder
• Swimmer's shoulder
• Jumper's knee

To treat tendinitis at home, R.I.C.E. is the acronym to remember:
* Rest
* Ice
* Compression
* Elevation.

If tendinitis is severe and leads to the rupture of a tendon, you may need surgery. Please consult with your health practitioner for a treatment plan.

Caused by repetitive stress on the shinbone and the connective tissues that attach your muscles to the bone, shin splints have a number of causes. Running on concrete, sudden, intense increased workouts & having flat feet or high arches can cause pain along the tibia.

FUN FACT: The elbow consists of 3 distinct joints! 💪

1. Humeroulnar joint: joins the humerus (arm bone) with the ulna (pinky-side forearm bone)
2. Humeroradial joint: joins the humerus (arm bone) with the radius (thumb-side forearm bone)
3. Radioulnar joint: joins the radius (thumb-side forearm bone) with the ulna (pinky-side forearm bone)

Together with support from 4 main ligaments and 9 forearm muscles, these joints allow us to bend and straighten our arm, rotate our forearm, and coordinate movements in our hand & wrist.

1. The proper term for the hip bones is "os coxae.". Os coxae comes from the Latin words "os" meaning bone and "coxae" from the old Latin word for hip.
2. Each hip bone is actually made up of three bones. It may look like one bone, but each hip bone is made up of the ilium, p***s, and ischium, which are completely fused.
3. There's a cavity in each hip bone. The concave cavity in the hip socket is known as the acetabulum, which is where the head of the femur articulates.
4. There are noticeable differences between the male and female hip bones. The female hip bones are more delicate and shallow than the male's, with less sloped ilia. However, the superior aperture of the female pelvis is larger and more circular than the male's.
5. There is a giant hole between the hip bones. Well, technically it's a space more than a hole. The superior aperture is the space that divides the abdominal cavity from the pelvic cavity.

Have you ever gotten pain in your joints and even swelling? It might be bursitis.

Bursitis is the inflammation of a bursa, a small fluid-filled sac that cushions and lubricates the areas between tendons, muscles, and bones. It commonly affects the joints, causing pain, swelling, and limited mobility.

Have you ever felt like something just isn't quite right with your body? If you're experiencing any pain, swelling, bruising, numbness, tingling, or decreased range of motion near a bone, you may have a fracture.

Fracture repair is a surgical procedure used to realign and stabilize the broken bone.

It can be performed on any bone in the body and the type of procedure required depends on the type and location of the fracture. To restore the function and alignment of the bone, metal plates, screws, or rods may be used.

Fracture repair is a safe and effective way to repair broken bones.
