This is what constantly spills out of my handbag⦠not makeup, not essentials ā just bars, snacks, and anything interesting I come across.
Cheap ones, premium ones, hidden gems from spaza shops, and special finds sent from overseas ā from my brother in Madrid to friends returning from their travels. Every single one has a story, a purpose, a formulation behind it.
It might sound a bit odd, but this is what makes my brain tick.
Not to copy ā never that ā but to understand.
I look at textures: is it layered, aerated, chewy, crisp?
Flavours: how do they balance sweetness, salt, bitterness?
Ingredients: what are they using to achieve that bite, that shelf life, that mouthfeel?
Macros: how are they pushing protein without compromising taste?
Shapes & formats: why this size, this coating, this structure?
Every product is a lesson. A tiny piece of innovation wrapped in packaging.
This space fascinates me endlessly because the possibilities truly are limitless. Thereās always a new angle, a smarter formulation, a better way to deliver nutrition and indulgence in one bite.
Youāre never too experienced, too established, or too āoldā to learn. In fact, staying curious is what keeps you sharp in this industry.
