A "soft base" for teeth, also known as a soft liner or soft reline, is a pliable material that is applied to the underside of a denture to provide cushioning, improve comfort, and relieve pressure on the gums. It works as a shock absorber between the hard denture base and the delicate gum tissue, making dentures more comfortable
You can also see how the denture fills and plumps out the surrounding peri-oral area instead of the sunken in look before the denture.
