This one picture sums up my connection, ❤️, devotion & admiration to My Love.

I absolutely love strawberries or stlawbellys as I ended up calling them growing up.
Finally settled in Bethesda after 6 awe inspiring years and my dear sister gifted me stlawbelly plants on my last visit with her. Super chuffed I finally got round to planting them, as yes I am a procrastinator of note ….. and they started bearing fruit.
I never got to eat one as the birds kept beating me to it … so my out look was C’est la vie & may the earliest Bird get the stlawbelly.
Much to my surprise one morning, just before New Years, my Love had fashioned some chicken wire to protect my Stlawbellies so I could enjoy some too.
Never saying anything, just doing, in his silent strong manner of not needing praise just letting me know quietly that he is always listening & trying to make my life special everyday 🍓
I’m so greatful I get to spend each lifetime with this precious Soul, My Twinflame, My Angel.

I am grateful to be inspired by beautiful souls … Truly honoured that one of those very special beautiful souls is my sister.
She taught me the love of tea & how delightful it is to eat beautiful food.
Last year she opened her Tea shop in the most idilic hidden gem of a location near Constanta neck in Cape Town.
She blends her own floral fynbos teas, infuses fynbos cordials & vinegars, not to mention so many other fynbos inspired goodies on her shelves.
She has always been the baker in our family & bakes the most heavenly gluten-free & Vegan delights … I 💕 my full cream wheat packed baked goods & you would not tell the difference.
So, pop in at the *Heathlands Tea Room and Shop* as soon as you can!
Open Tuesdays to Fridays between 10am and 2pm. 14A Bel Ombre Road, just off Monterey Road near Constantia Neck. Trust me …. Reservations advisable

✨The Season is one of Gratitude.
Reflecting on a year that has taught us so many lessons, however it remained kind.
Thoughtful Homemade gifts & a banana leaf baobab Christmas tree adorned with an ornament from each country we have been blessed to travel to. Missing some soul tribe peeps however knowing that working for ourselves at our small business provides us all a bright Future & this year we were able to tick the box at self sustainability.

The Bokke have certainly helped us forget & escape the negativity for a moment, to stand together so that we get to elevate our positive energy collectively to our beautiful precious Country & it’s People. 💚💛

Numnumpies … more like Nyumyumpies …. Oh there is nothing like a foraged Natal Plumb from a suburban neighbours hedge. My sisters neighbours are getting use to the Sister from the Karoo coming to forage in Num Num season. I rope in my nephews & we become all hands on hedge.
My sister & I have marathon cordial making sessions for her Tea Shop .tea … it’s a tradition that we started & I look forward to it each year. We share memories about growing up, there’s laughing, there are a couple of tears now & again & there is always togetherness & bonds are bound. My Mom is always centric to the intention & love we impart in the kitchen.

Why are Nyum yums so awesome you ask? They are a potent source of anti oxidants & a very high concentration of vitamin C.
I also love using them in jams & jellies & chutneys.

I had the incredible honour of having to share my Karoo Food Experience in the Cape Winelands to The Man’s Safari guests.
I hosted a Karoo to Cape menu in the beautiful space . With Simonsberg behind me & a story to tell … It was an evening of laughter, discovery & new flavours but of course. I absolutely LOVE to share new flavours that guests have never tasted from African wormwood ~ Wildeals to Wild mint, Cancerbush and Wood sorrel, Agave blossoms to Queen of the night.
What another awesome adventure with healing plants.
