Here is a fun balloon kicking activity for babies. Great for developing their eye tracking ability (visual tracking), understanding cause and effect (ie. when I kick the balloon moves), concentration and gross motor skills. As we know, learning begins long before a child can crawl or walk.

SPEECH THERAPY IN SCHOOLS 🎒

One post will DEFINITELY not cover everything a school-based speech therapist helps with 🙅‍♀️

⚠️I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH ⚠️

✏️ Difficulty with any of these areas mentioned, can have far-reaching effects on a child's scholastic performance and ability to cope with the big jump from play, to big school.

✏️ Around the country SLTs are busy with screenings and assessments this time of year. I want to encourage ALL parents to go for it OR if you have done an assessment already, thoroughly consider the feedback.

✏️ Just this last week I've found how great an effect COVID and lockdown had on the current gr Rs and 1s.

✏️ Now is the time to catch up and get going again - allow a speechie to help you and your family!
