April is Autism Awareness month.

What is autism or Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)? It is a broad term used to describe a group of neurodevelopmental disorders. These conditions are characterized by differences in communication and social interaction.
Symptoms become clearly evident in early childhood (12 to 24 months), but can appear later or earlier.
DSM-5 divides symptoms of ASD into two categories:
* problems with communication and social interaction.
* restricted or repetitive patterns of behavior or activities.
Early symptoms include a marked delay in language and social activities.

There is no specific cause for autism and can't be cured but can be well managed.

Chiropractic care is a non-invasive way of adding to the toolbox of caring for an autistic patient. Autism influence's the body's central nervous system.
Essentially, an inner nerve in-balance and misalignment can lead to a lifespan of painful disorders needing long term care.
Light spinal manipulation will result in restoring the inner nerve in-balance and misalignment, healing the nervous system and relieving some of the patient's symptoms and discomfort. Promoting the body's ability to self-heal.

Autism is simply another diagnosis that can benefit from Chiropractic care.

So this happened yesterday, the first set of twins came to visit the practice. Such a privilege treating these little bodies.

Happy Baby = Happy Mommy.

Treating any baby discomfort, better sleeping patterns, collic, reflux, unnecessary cramps and stomach discomfort, constipation, difficulty in neck rotation and the list go on.

Also give breastfeeding advice and stimulation activities for mom to do with baby.

Lastly ending the session with a good tummy massage and a calm baby.
