During early 2011 she was struck down with tick bite fever, but was wrongly diagnosed by her medical doctor and she got progressively worse until she lapsed into a coma for some thirty eight (38) days. At one stage she was declared brain dead and it was suggested by the medical personnel to have her life support turned off but this was not acted upon. The rest is history! Gangrene is a serious and

potentially life threatening condition that arises when a considerable mass of body tissue dies. This may occur after an injury or infection, or in people suffering from any chronic health problem affecting BLOOD CIRCULATION. The primary source of gangrene is reduced blood supply to the effected tissues, which results in cell death. Diabetes and long term smoking increase the risk of suffering from gangrene. Although not diabetic or a smoker, both Ingrid's hands and feet were rendered completely gangrenous, and she was advised to have both her hands and feet amputated which would have left her a quadriplegic for the remainder of her life. Ingrid and her mother experimented with different oils, lotions and compounds and evolved what is today the Nu-Vasqu-Life range of products, aimed primarily at people with bad circulation due to diabetes, as well as intervention to treat and heal limbs when they have already been infected with gangrene, thus saving the patient from losing limbs due to amputation, and the resultant dramatic change to their lives, while still not dealing with the cause of the serious consequences of gangrene; bad circulation of blood through the body.
