UCT Division of Public Health Medicine The Division of Public Health Medicine is a division within the UCT School of Public Health

The practice of Public Health Medicine focuses on the delivery of population-oriented services aimed at promoting the health of communities. The Division of Public Health Medicine runs training for undergraduates in medicine and rehabilitation sciences, as well as a postgraduate specialisation in Public Health Medicine. It supports a wide range of research aimed at advancing public health practice

and public health capacity in the health system and provides technical support to the Health Impact Assessment Directorate in the Provincial Health Department as well as having many collaborations with government and NGO services.

We are seeking a candidate with values rooted in social justice and an interest in public health to join the Collaboration for Harm Reduction and Alcohol Safety in the Environment (CHASE-SA) research project team at the University of Cape Town, School of Public Health.

The successful candidate will conduct research on alcohol supply chains and interventions to address alcohol-related harms in South Africa and Botswana.
