DIRECTOR POST AVAILABLE

POSITION: Director/CEO
Responsible for planning & strategizing the overall vision, image and direction of the organisation, including financial sustainability, staff development and adherence to applicable statutory legislation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Overseeing all aspects relating to the running of the organisation including the financial management (as prescribed by the PFMA), service delivery and human resource management
 Ensuring compliance to the Governance of NGO Act and Local and National Government Policy regarding Community Based Treatment centres.
 Project design,implementation & operational management including monitoring & evaluation
 Organizational planning& development
 Ensuring the financial sustainability of the Centres
 Fundraising, donor development, report & proposal writing
 Networking and liaison with various role players
 PR and media work
 Developing and managing budgets

REQUIREMENTS:
β€’ Have a proven track record in terms of key responsibilities listed above
β€’ Be multi-skilled, efficient and able to work under pressure
β€’ At least 5 years management experience
β€’ A minimum of 5yrs work experience in an NGO
β€’ Experience in the Substance Use Disorders field an advantage
β€’ Proof of Qualification and contactable references
β€’ A valid Code 08 driver’s License

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
β€’ Organisational, human resource and financial management skills are essential
β€’ A well-established network and portfolio of contacts in the NGO arena would be an advantage
β€’ Above average communication skills [spoken and written]
β€’ Strategic planning and leadership skills
β€’ Integrity in all areas of personal and social life
β€’ Excellent report writing and administration skills
β€’ Computer literacy is essential

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
β€’ SA Citizen domiciled in Cape Town
β€’ Clear Financial Record
β€’ Clear Criminal Record

Salary NGO market related
