The Heart of Healthcare. ❤️

To the nurses who are the heartbeat of everything we do: thank you. Your support is like no other, and we truly would not be our best without your dedication, expertise, and compassion.

Today, we’re showing extra appreciation for the long shifts, the kind words, and the tireless care you provide every single day. We see you, we value you, and we thank you!

Motherhood isn’t just a title—it’s a million acts of love. Today, we honour the incredible women who shape our lives:

The Birth, Adoptive, & Bonus Moms who provide our foundations.

The Grandmas, Aunts, & Mentors who offer wisdom and warmth.

The Moms-to-be waiting with hope, and Foster Moms giving their all.

Our Heavenly Moms who are no longer with us, but whose love remains our guiding light. You are forever missed and eternally treasured. 🕊️

Whether you are a mother by birth, by choice, or by spirit, you are a true treasure. Your strength is our anchor, and your love is our home.

Happy Mother’s Day! ✨💖

From the first breath. The first cry. The first "you did it." 🕊️

Midwifery is one of the world's oldest and most vital professions. It is a unique blend of deep-rooted tradition and cutting-edge clinical expertise.

Today, on International Midwives Day, we celebrate the professionals who:
⏺Listen when others might rush.
⏺Trust the process while prepared for the unexpected.
⏺Protect the dignity of every person in their care.

To the midwives who work through the night and hold space for new beginnings: we see you, we thank you, and we honour the profound impact you have on generations to follow.

Recovering from a C-section is not always easy. 🩺

You aren't just "healing"—you are balancing recovery from major abdominal surgery with the 24/7 physical demands of a newborn.

It is a marathon, not a sprint. To help you navigate those first few weeks, here are 3 tips for a smoother recovery.

Be patient with your body.
You did something incredible. ❤️

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖-𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝘀

April serves as a time to recognise mothers who have undergone or preparing for a C-section: remember to be gentle with yourself.🩷

Whether you are navigating the emotional landscape of an unexpected procedure or preparing for one, your experience is valid, and your strength is remarkable.
This is a 𝒎𝒂𝒋𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒚!

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀:

1️⃣Don’t skip your pain medication—stay ahead of any discomfort.
2️⃣Support your incision when you laugh or cough.
3️⃣Listen to your body—rest is not “laziness”; it’s a crucial part of healing, even while caring for your new little one.
4️⃣Attend your 6-week follow-up appointment to ensure your obstetrician can confirm your healing process and address any important questions you might have.

📱If you wish to make an appointment with our practice please don’t hesitate to call or WhatsApp us.

Had an incredible week back at IRCAD Africa in Kigali, Rwanda. My journey here began in 2024 as a student in the "Advanced Techniques in Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery" course, so it was a true honor to return this year—this time as a speaker and trainer.

I feel so privileged to contribute to the same program that helped shape my skills. A sincere thank you to and Medtronic for the invitation and for hosting such a world-class event.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 🎗️

Did you know that 1 in 10 women (and many others) live with Endometriosis? It’s more than just "bad period cramps." It’s a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, causing inflammation, intense pain, and fatigue.

If you’re struggling with symptoms or feel like your pain isn’t being heard, please reach out or help. 💛

We had the pleasure of joining Zoya Mabuto‑Mokoditoa and her team on the podcast to dive deep into the often-overlooked topic of male infertility.

There are so many layers to this conversation—from the clinical aspects to the emotional journey. Don't miss the full episode!

If your period is suddenly a "no-show" or arriving whenever it feels like it, your body is sending you a signal. It’s usually one of these three "Big Disruptors":

🚫 The Stress Shutdown: High cortisol (stress hormone) tells your brain it’s "unsafe" to reproduce. Your brain literally mutes the signal to ovulate. No ovulation = no period.

⚖️ A Metabolic Swing: A shift in your hormones caused by something such as rapid weight loss or sudden insulin spikes (resulting from weight gain) can create a system error, disrupting your cycle.

⏳ The 40s "Shift": Perimenopause isn’t only for 50-year-olds; it’s a transition that often starts in your 40s. If your cycles are getting shorter or wildly unpredictable, your hormones might be starting their "slow fade."

The Takeaway: Your period is an indirect sign to your health. If it’s off, your body is asking for a lifestyle audit. 🩺✨
