It depends what we’re dealing with.
Put differently, it depends how bad the hemorrhoids are, where they are and how long you’ve had them.
1. OTC treatment from your pharmacy
2. Prescription treatment prescribed by a doctor
3. Surgery 😭 (you wear diapers after surgery)
So we start with option 1 then move to 2 then 3.
You don’t want to have surgery for something that simple OTC options would take care of.
There’s not much difference between the different OTC options. We are managing pain, inflammation and stool 💩 “hardness”.
There’s only 1 prescription option available. It comes as an ointment or suppositories.
