Bouganvilla Frail Care Centre

Our doors are open for any person older than 60 years, focussing on people from the Ba-Phalaborwa area that needs assistance with the daily tasks we all take for granted. Our care facility has a capacity to provide care for 28 residents (we only have 15 Angels at the moment) and the support includes medical assistance. Day-to-day assistance
o Basics, such as bed, bath and/or shower, dress, nappy change and feed. o Provide exercise in a fun and interactive manner. o Providing a clean and hygienic environment, i.e. making beds, cleaning rooms, bathrooms and toiles etc every day. The centre is also sanitized weekly. o Monitor levels of the basics of personal nature such as toiletries and inform the family regarding stock levels. Medical Support
o Order, administer chronic and/or resent medication. o In an emergency, notify the ambulance and the Doctor. o Informs and meets family and in the event that the family are not available, the manager will provide that personal care for person in distress. o All staff are trained to recognise and care for persons with the different stages of Alzheimer’s and/or dementia. o Minor ails are dealt with by Care Givers and the Nurses
Spiritual
o Provide a spiritual service every Wednesday. o There is a Pastor on the board of directors that arranges or provides emotional and/or spiritual needs. o Each resident is monitored, with feedback given to family and/or the Doctor when needed.
