Will I receive a certificate and CPD points for the course?

Yes, on completion of the course, you will receive a certificate. This certificate will contain your information, as well as the accreditation and validity information. The ECM MP certificate is valid for 3 years from completion. In addition, you will receive 30 CPD points on completion of the ECM MP course. These points are sent directly through to HPCSA for you so you don't have to worry to do so!

Will the course work on a cellphone?

Yes, you can use your cellphone to complete the course. We understand the need to have mobile learning opportunities at your fingertips and have attempted to ensure that it can be completed anywhere and at any time that you have access to a data connection.

Will this course assist with attaining my DipPEC?

The ECM MP course was developed to cover the many topics required for any medical doctor that works in an Emergency Center or any acute care setting. Many different sources were assessed to guide the topics that were included. The topics that need to be covered by a DipPEC candidate were also assessed during this process. This course would be very helpful for any candidate preparing for their DipPEC, however, ECM MP is by no means exhaustive and would not cover all that is needed for a DipPEC. So further studying beyond the ECM MP course would be needed.

Is there an assessment for the course?

The course is broken into 30 topics, with 5 MCQs at the end of each topic. You will need to attain a 100% on the 5 MCQs related to each topic immediately after completing that topic, before being able to move onto the next topic. You are able to redo the MCQs if you were unable to answer all of them correctly.

How many hours will the course take?

The ECM MP course consists of 26 hours of videos with MCQs questions between topics. The course is designed to track your progress so that you can stop a video at any point and continue from where you left off. This allows candidates to complete the course around their schedule. The course on average requires 28 hours to complete. The MCQ questions related to each topic are completed immediately after the specific topic has been viewed so that the course is completed the moment the final video has been completed and its 5 MCQs correctly answered.
