It’s World Salt Awareness Week!
Let’s Talk About Salt and Your Health

Did you know that consuming too much salt can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke? Most people eat far more salt than recommended—and much of it is hidden in processed and restaurant foods.

This week, we’re raising awareness and encouraging small changes that make a big difference:

Read labels – Look for low-sodium options.

Cook fresh – Homemade meals let you control the salt.

Flavor wisely – Use herbs, spices, lemon, and garlic instead of salt.

Your heart will thank you!
If you have concerns about your blood pressure or salt intake, book a consultation with us today.

Today marks the final day of African Vaccination Week 2025!

This year's theme, “Humanly Possible: Saving Lives Through Immunization,” reminds us of the incredible impact vaccines have had on protecting lives and preventing disease across Africa and the world. From smallpox eradication to drastically reducing measles deaths, vaccines have changed the course of history—and they continue to do so every day.

As we close out this week of awareness and action, we also look ahead to protecting our communities during flu season.

The flu vaccine is one of the most effective ways to avoid serious illness, protect vulnerable loved ones, and reduce the burden on our healthcare system. If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, now is the time! It’s especially important for children, older adults, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions.

Let’s carry the momentum of African Vaccination Week forward by making prevention a priority. Protect yourself, protect others—get vaccinated.

Happy World Kidney Day! 🌍💚

Today, we raise awareness about the importance of kidney health and the vital role kidneys play in our overall well-being. Did you know that your kidneys filter about 50 gallons of blood every day, removing waste and excess fluids from the body?

Taking care of your kidneys is essential, and here are a few tips to help protect them:

1. Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

2. Eat a Balanced Diet – A healthy diet can reduce the risk of kidney disease.

3. Exercise Regularly – Physical activity helps maintain kidney function.

4. Monitor Blood Pressure & Sugar Levels – High blood pressure and diabetes are key risk factors for kidney disease.

5. Avoid Overuse of Painkillers – Excessive use can harm your kidneys over time.

If you have any concerns or risk factors for kidney disease, don’t hesitate to contact us for a consultation. Let’s work together to keep your kidneys healthy for years to come! 💚
