Today marks the final day of African Vaccination Week 2025!

This year's theme, “Humanly Possible: Saving Lives Through Immunization,” reminds us of the incredible impact vaccines have had on protecting lives and preventing disease across Africa and the world. From smallpox eradication to drastically reducing measles deaths, vaccines have changed the course of history—and they continue to do so every day.

As we close out this week of awareness and action, we also look ahead to protecting our communities during flu season.

The flu vaccine is one of the most effective ways to avoid serious illness, protect vulnerable loved ones, and reduce the burden on our healthcare system. If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, now is the time! It’s especially important for children, older adults, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions.
