Some nurses don’t ask to be seen… but their impact is felt in every life they touch.

ENA AG Lubbe is one of those nurses.

The kind who shows up, every single time, with quiet strength and a heart that gives more than what is asked. The kind who offers comfort without being prompted, who carries patients through their hardest moments with grace, and who does it all with a smile that reassures even on the most difficult days.

She does not seek recognition, yet she embodies everything the Nightingale Award stands for; compassion, dedication, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to care.

Named in honour of Florence Nightingale, this award is reserved for those who go beyond the call of duty, those who lead not with titles, but with heart.

Our annual Nurses’ Day celebration may have come a little later this year, but our gratitude for our nurses is never delayed. 🤍

To our nursing team — you are the quiet strength behind every recovery, the steady hands in moments of uncertainty, and the compassionate hearts that carry both patients and families through their most vulnerable times. Your presence is not just felt… it is remembered.

This day was a small reflection of the immense value you bring to our hospital every single day. We celebrate your resilience, your dedication, and the dignity with which you serve.

A sincere thank you to our Matron, as well as our Nursing Portfolio Directors, for taking the time to share their heartfelt words and honour our nurses on the day.

Although we may be a little late to share, the message remains just as important — Action Saves Lives.

In celebration of World Hand Hygiene Day, our teams came together for a day dedicated to infection prevention, education, and excellence in practice. Each department took part in a spirited competition, showcasing best-quality protocols for managing and preventing infections through proper hand hygiene.

What made the day truly special was the balance between learning and laughter, a reminder that even in the most critical areas of healthcare, connection and positive energy matter. From insightful demonstrations to light-hearted moments, the atmosphere was filled with purpose, pride, and great vibes all around.

A moment of immense pride for Midlands Specialist Private Hospital 👏✨

Once again, we celebrate excellence in stroke care — this time with MSPH achieving the prestigious diamond status certification from the WSO’s Angel Initiative for Q4 of 2025.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr Zaheer Sacoor, who spearheaded this journey and continues to drive a standard of care that places our patients first when every second counts.

This achievement has not only positioned MSPH among leading stroke centres of excellence, but has also earned international recognition. At the Neurological Association of South Africa (NASA) 2026 Congress — a global platform for advancements in brain health and neurological medicine — Dr Sacoor was featured as a Key Opinion Leader, proudly representing MSPH on the world map of top stroke centres. 🌍🧠

While this milestone reflects his vision and leadership, it is equally a testament to the collective dedication of our incredible Trauma Doctors, Trauma and Stroke Team, our Matron, nursing staff, and every individual committed to delivering timely, life-saving care — together with key collaborators, including Jackpersad and Partners, whose rapid MRI response supports critical stroke assessment.
