Through a breakdown of key postures such as Tadasana, Warrior variations, and Trikonasana, weโll explore how to activate the legs, engage the core, and align the spine, while maintaining breath and presence. Youโll learn how standing poses serve as the building blocks for a strong, centred practice both on and off the mat.

Sharuska Pillayโs journey with yoga began in 2009 as a therapeutic recommendation but what started as a path to healing soon became a spiritual rebirth. Inspired by the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits she experienced, Sharuska qualified as a yoga teacher in 2017 and now shares this ancient practice with compassion and purpose.
Her classes are offered throughout Pietermaritzburg, Hilton, and the Midlands and range from strong flows and alignment-based practices to gentle yin. Each class is a safe, non-judgmental space where students are encouraged to embrace their current challenges and reconnect with their wholeness.
