Your sleeping position matters more than you think 💤

See how not to sleep from our dog Charlie.

The way you sleep can either support your spine… or slowly strain it. Poor positioning may lead to neck pain, lower back discomfort, and restless nights.

✔️ Side sleepers: One of the best positions. Keep a pillow between your knees to reduce hip and lower back stress. A pillow between your arms can assist in squaring your shoulders
✔️ Back sleepers: can be good for spinal alignment—just add a pillow under your knees
❌ Stomach sleeping: Can strain your neck and lower back over time

Small changes at night can make a big difference in how you feel during the day.

Lower Back Pain – You’re Not Alone

Lower back pain is one of the most common health complaints worldwide. In fact, studies suggest that 60–80% of people will experience lower back pain at some point in their lives.

So what does it feel like?
Lower back pain can present in many ways:
• A dull, constant ache
• Sharp or stabbing pain
• Pain that radiates into the hips or legs (sciatica)
• Stiffness and reduced movement
• Numbness, tingling, or weakness in the legs

What causes it?
In most cases (about 90%), there isn’t a single clear cause.
However, common contributing factors include: • Poor posture (especially prolonged sitting)
• Muscle strain or weakness
• Sedentary lifestyle
• Repetitive lifting or physical stress
• Excess weight
• Stress and lifestyle factors

How can chiropractic care help?
Chiropractic treatment focuses on restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving function through:

Here’s what actually happens during a consultation:
🔎 Assessment – A detailed history and physical examination to find what’s really driving your pain.
🧠 Diagnosis – Not all back or neck pain is the same. Identifying the true source matters.
💪 Treatment & Rehab – Hands-on care, spinal manipulation, joint mobilization, dry needling, shockwave therapy, massage, stretching and strength exercises to build long-term resilience — not just temporary relief.
🤝 Referral if Needed – If something falls outside my scope, I refer to the appropriate GP or specialist.

The goal isn’t dependency.
It’s helping you move better, feel better, and stay active.

The 3 Most Common Reasons People Visit a Chiropractor.

The most common areas people come to see us for are lower back pain, neck pain, and mid-back pain.
