We have been so saddened by the passing of this beautiful soul, Vee Nohombile Bush
Sista Vee has been such an enthusiastic supporter, and friend, to us since we opened Simple Seed almost 7 years ago.
We are going to miss her friendly face, her gentle spirit and her deep knowledge. ❤️

Sista Vee was more than a registered Traditional Healer and Rastafarian herbalist — she was a fearless advocate for the sacred relationship between people and plant medicine. Her lifelong dedication to cannabis as a holistic healing tool touched countless lives, as she honoured the full spectrum of the plant — from seed to root — with deep wisdom and reverence.
Through decades of resilience, including facing persecution for her beliefs, she stood unwavering in her mission to educate, heal, and empower. Her teachings, consultations, and her powerful work Cannabis is The Human Companion Plant continue to echo across communities, inspiring a more conscious and compassionate understanding of cannabis.
Sista Vee’s legacy lives on in every life she healed, every mind she opened, and every barrier she helped break down. The industry, and the broader traditional healing community, have lost a guiding light — but her spirit remains rooted in the movement she helped grow.
We honour her. We thank her. We will continue to tell her story.
May her wisdom, strength, and love continue to guide and comfort all who knew her.
