My best advices during the flu season:

1. Stay hydrated.

2. Practice good hygiene: hand washing, covering coughs & sneezes, & avoiding infected individuals.

3. Get your flu vaccine.

4. Extra precautions are necessary for those who are vulnerable during this season; the elderly, young children, pregnant women, & those with chronic illnesses.

5. There is no proven cure for flu, but your healthcare provider will assist with medication to alleviate your symptoms and prevent complications.

6. There is absolutely no place for antibiotics as flu is caused by a virus.
