Winter is the season of slowing down and looking after yourself. So while you're nourishing your body with warm soups and bundling up in blankets, don’t forget your hearing health too.
Hearing loss doesn’t stop for the seasons — and in winter, it can actually feel lonelier when communication becomes harder in quieter environments.
Prioritise your well-being from the inside out. Let’s check in on your hearing together. 🙌
In winter, your ears may feel more blocked or muffled especially when moving between cold outdoor air and warm indoor spaces. This can cause your Eustachian tubes (which balance ear pressure) to tighten up, leading to that stuffed or clogged sensation.
If it’s persistent, it might not just be wax! It could be fluid build-up, inflammation, or early hearing loss.
We offer professional ear exams to find the cause and provide relief. Don’t ignore that “full” feeling this winter. ⛄
Did you know we use real-ear measurements to fine-tune your hearing aids? 🦻
This technique allows us to see exactly how your hearing aids perform inside your ear canal — making your device more accurate and more comfortable from the start.
If you’ve never had your hearing tested, you might feel unsure about what to expect. At our practice, we make the process easy, comfortable, and informative:
1️⃣ We begin with a relaxed conversation about your symptoms and lifestyle
2️⃣ A visual ear exam to check for wax or abnormalities
3️⃣ A series of gentle sound tests using headphones in a quiet room
4️⃣ Immediate feedback, a clear explanation of your results, and honest guidance
Many people come to us unsure if they even need hearing help, and that’s completely normal.
Our job isn’t to sell you something. It’s to listen, assess, and give you the best recommendation for your hearing health.
Sometimes that means no device at all — just tips, reassurance, or a follow-up down the line. Whatever the outcome, you’ll leave feeling clearer, not pressured. 🙌
Cold, damp air can affect your hearing aids if you’re not careful. This winter, protect your device by:
✅ Wearing a soft hat or earmuffs that don’t press too tightly
✅ Drying your hearing aids thoroughly at night
✅ Using a dehumidifier case (we can recommend one!)
✅ Keeping spare batteries on hand—cold weather drains them faster
Not sure if your device is winter-ready? Book a check-up and we’ll give it a clean and tune-up. 🦻

There are some things in life which you simply cannot compromise. HEARING IS ONE OF THEM. Hearing connects people – the joy of a grandchild’s laugh, the pleasure in a shared moment, a sweet nothing whispered in your ear.
Don’t compromise your quality of life – if you are suffering from a hearing loss or having difficulty hearing speech in noisy environments, don’t settle for anything less than the best solution available.
We make no compromises when it comes to quality and we are a world leader in hearing technology. In fact, we are so confident that we will refund your money if your hearing does not improve.
