One of the most frustrating moments for any holistic sport therapist, is when a coach decides that an athlete who struggles with a chronic injury, should rest a few weeks.

Chronic injuries are caused by continuous overload on a specific structure, which could be bone, muscle, tendons, ligaments, joints, etc., which leads to non-alignment of the body.

There are many causes of non-alignment, including previous injuries or surgery, emotional trauma, overtraining, bad postural habits, overuse and many more.

All of the above places the body in a position of β€˜danger’ and the brain responds by β€˜locking’ the fascia to protect the areas involved.

The body then needs to move around these fascia restrictions, which leads to compensation patterns, causing non-alignment and overload of structures which are not even related to the cause.

A proper holistic assessment will show us exactly where your movement is blocked, enabling us to restore you movement.

This process often takes as little as 3 sessions, depending on how long you have been using compensation patterns.

It is therefor clear why rest is not an option when it comes to chronic injury.

Rest is only indicated if the damage due to overload is substantial, but even then, it will be of no use if not combined with simultaneously dealing with the cause.

Find a certified Lyno practitioner near you and remove the source of your injury.

How many people do you know who are over 60 and not on chronic medication?
Our sedentary lifestyles combined with continuous stress cause havoc in our bodies.
Add to this continuous traumatic events, both emotional and physical, causing layers of unresolved trauma in our bodies.
Every time we brace against trauma, a part of our body shuts down and becomes less mobile.
By the time we reach 50, and with some of us a lot earlier, our bodies show up all these traumatic incidents in the form of chronic pain and injuries.
Fortunately, through years of clinical experience and a global emphasis and turn towards trauma release, we now have the tools to find the exact areas where unresolved trauma is stored, and to release it.
We do not have to turn to chronic medication and endless surgical procedures to relieve symptoms, but we can go straight to the cause and release trauma with gentle techniques.
If you notice that your body is becoming less flexible and more achy, do not wait until you are forced to resort to chronic medication. Find a holistic therapist now who can assess your body, find the areas of immobilisation and bring you back to full function.
It is never too late to teach the brain new pathways!

Home This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this: Hi there! I’m a bike ...

Did you know that a tight psoas muscle can cause back pain, hip pain, lumbar disc problems, sciatica, scoliosis, and uneven leg length?

Static stretching has little to no effect on the level of muscle tension in the psoas. The most effective way to release chronic tightness in the psoas muscle is with the technique of pandiculation.

Is Lyno painful?
Is the Lyno technique painful? While most fascia techniques aim to manually release fascia, Lyno uses a gentle superficial non-invasive but dynamic technique, aimed at the neural system in order to restore fascia mobility. Be prepared for a lot of active movement during the session to activate new patterns.
