We’re not sure where the time has gone since our last post, almost 9 months ago at Christmas time. With that being said, Macsyl has been open for almost 18 months already!
If you’re a new comer here, Welcome. 👋🏼👵🏼
We are a small family run assisted living home for the elderly taking the utmost special care of our Grannies. We strive for a home away from home feel with compassionate carers and in house Mama Chef.

In the last few weeks we’ve made small changes, by renovating 2 new “semi private rooms”, which have enough room for a couch and personal items, space for mounting pictures and a TV, both currently available.

🎣🌅🤩 Our very own fisherman providing fresh Fish for everybody! A big Cob and Elf was enjoyed on a perfect summers day with an awesome view of the bright sunset from our deck!

🌞✨🌸 Spring has sprung.
Weather has turned into the perfect Spring days for garden walks and front stoep socialising.

✨🌸🧖🏼‍♀️ What our Friday consisted of! A day full of pampering and activities inbetween all our pop ins!

🌨️❄️ The weathers looking rather dull for the weekend so lots of indoor activities, hot chocolate and baking!

✨ We’ve certainly had our hands full since opening! With daily changes and fine tuning we’ve come a long way and our Queens have kept us on tight leashes with having no time to show everybody what we’ve been up to! Still lots to do but so far so good and we’re thrilled to share the Home with such lovely ladies.

🎞️ A quick dump of a few things we’ve been up to.
🛼We like to include some kind of excersize everyday whether it’s with a ball, stretching, knitting, dancing etc.
🐾 Regular visits from Honey is secretly our free therapy and we love to spoil her with Ear tickles and the odd biscuit under the table.
🌞 On sunny days we enjoy walks around the garden and enjoying a meal on the deck while watching the birds, We’ve been lucky enough to have a braai the day the Springboks played their first game. Nothing quite like a good old Boerie Roll!
🫖 Morning tea in bed was never part of the plan but some days it just feels nice to lie in, relax and chat to your room mates.
💓 Life has been pretty good here and everybody is happy and feeling very much so at home.
