Prescribed Minimum Benefits - what does that actually mean?

All medical aids in South Africa are required to cover Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs) - a list of over 270 conditions that must be covered at a minimum level of care.

But here’s the catch: PMB cover isn’t always automatic. In some cases, you’ll need to apply for it.

If you’re unsure whether your condition should have been covered under PMBs, contact Health-Link. We’ll help you understand your benefits and make sure you get the cover you’re entitled to.
