First Day Of School at Normoyle Primary School🦅🩵

To us, education is not only about academic progress; it is about safety, dignity and nurturing confident, capable children who are prepared not only for the classroom, but for life beyond it.

Welcome back, Normoyle family! We are so grateful to walk this journey alongside our learners, families, teachers and community.❤️📚

We find dignity in consistency, in practical care, in meeting real needs with respect, reliability and compassion…Through the Buckets of Nutrition campaign, families in our community received food support that met a very real and urgent need.

In a challenging season, these buckets helped families meet basic needs while giving a sense of comfort and security.

A heartfelt thank you to Daily Maverick for sharing this story and helping shine a light on the realities our community faces, and to SA Harvest and Boxer for partnering with us to make this distribution possible.

Part 1 of our 2025 recap:
A year of showing up, listening and choosing dignity in every moment. This is the work, the people and the purpose that carried us through. ❤️

Hunger is never just about food.
It’s about whether a child can concentrate at school, whether a patient can take their medication, whether a young person can imagine tomorrow with hope.

Nutrition is a huge part of our operations because food is where dignity begins. Every bucket filled, is a reminder that no one should be reduced to survival alone.

We’re beyond grateful to , , and every partner who helped tell and support this important story. ❤️🙏

As we close our day-to-day operations for the year, our General Manager, Principal and Head of Skills Development come together to say a heartfelt THANK YOU. 🙏

To every supporter, partner, donor, volunteer and community member - your belief in our work has carried us through this year. You showed up, stood with us and helped create moments of growth, learning and hope for so many.

As most of us take a well-deserved break, we do so with grateful hearts, knowing we are not walking this journey alone. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us and continuing to believe in the community we serve.

From all of us at MCC, we wish you rest, peace and a season filled with love. ❤️🤗

Tonight, our hearts are full. 🎄
We spent the day moving through our community, delivering Christmas food parcels to some of our neighbours facing a difficult season.

In every home we visited, we were reminded that while circumstances may change, dignity never does. We witnessed quiet relief, shared smiles and moments of warmth that words can hardly hold. Christmas, after all, isn’t about what’s in the box, but the message it carries: “you are seen, you are valued”

Days like these are also emotional, humbling and heavy for us — in the best and hardest ways. Knowing that so many families depend on these moments, and without them hope would feel completely out of reach.

We stand firmly for independence, growth and transformation—but truth be told, some journeys are long.

Hundreds of families would not have anything for Christmas if it were not for our donors and our dedicated staff who give of themselves relentlessly. Today you didn’t just provide a meal you provided peace, reassurance and hope. ❤️✨

Sometimes the biggest victory is choosing not to give up — choosing to keep going when you feel judged or looked down on, choosing to take a stand and change your life, choosing to thrive even when you come from Missionvale, a place too often defined by its struggles instead of its strength.

The Class of 2024 & 2025 ITDC Graduation celebrates exactly that choice. Our candidates completed programmes in Carpentry, Culinary, Crafts, Hair & Beauty and Vegetable Gardening, supported by New Venture Creation (NVC) classes that build financial literacy, business thinking, life skills and confidence for the future.

We also proudly celebrate our facilitators who graduated in Facilitation and Assessing Skills, stepping forward to guide the next generation. Heartfelt thanks to Contact Staff & Skills Solutions for their continued partnership, the National Youth Service (NYS) for taking some candidates under their wing and placing them in schools and community spaces, and for walking alongside us — especially through the Carpentry unit, where facilitators and candidates learned and built together.

To our graduates: this is more than a certificate. It is proof of resilience, courage and hope. We are so proud of you. 💙🎓
